Aurobindo Pharma Foundation
Aurobindo Pharma Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Aurobindo Pharma Limited and strives for the social and economic growth of the nation through its Corporate Social Responsibility programme. We are committed to continuously improve our social, environmental and economic practices to support the enhancement of the country’s institutions and to benefit society.
Aurobindo Pharma Foundation has installed approximately 70 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification Plants with different capacities in various locations and also extensively constructed RO Water Sheds. It has installed overhead water tanks, ground water tanks, laid underground pipelines for drinking water and ensured safe drinking water is supplied to many more villages through deliveries from water tankers.
As part of Swachh Bharat- Swachh Vidyalaya, Aurobindo Pharma foundation has constructed hundreds of modern new toilets, repaired and renovated old toilets for girls and boys in various government schools colleges, stadiums, etc., in both of the states. As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Aurobindo Pharma Foundation has supported the Integrated House Hold Latrine (IHHL) scheme in various villages of the states to make Open Defecation Free villages (ODF).

Our projects have benefitted Borapatla, a village in Sangareddy district of Telangana state, and Peyyalapalem village of Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh have been as well as 1.2 lakh families across our project areas.
Aurobindo Pharma has built a Government Degree College in Patancheru with approximately 40,000 square feet, modern amenities and classroom infrastructure for more than 200 schools. Libraries and reading rooms are also set up for students and orphans in various government schools and orphanages. In addition, the Foundation works to provide employment enhancing skills and support female empowerment in rural and urban areas; has renovated various government schools, colleges, orphanages and old age homes; provided approximately 12,000 3-seater school desks, 12,500 school bags and lakh note books in various government schools in both Telugu states.
Aurobindo Pharma has provided amenities to many health organizations which will help the poor and needy obtain better health care with access to sophisticated medical equipment. It has installed lifts for patients and provided generators, invertors, and visitors chairs to various government hospitals. The Foundation has also provided infrastructure to trust-based hospitals like Dr.Puchalapalli Venkata Ramachandra Reddy's Peoples Poly Clinic in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, and Lions Club Eye Hospital of Narsapur, Sangareddy district in Telangana. It also funded the construction of the Dr. Jetty Sesha Reddy Memorial Trust Hospital at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Aurobindo Pharma has supported construction of Aurobindo Geriatric Eye Care Centre (AGE) at L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Visakhapatnam, which provides Eye Care Treatment spanning all districts of Northern Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Odisha state.
As part of Swachh Bharat- Swachh Vidyalaya, Aurobindo Pharma has constructed hundreds of new modern toilets, renovated old toilets for girls and boys in various Government Schools, Junior & Degree Colleges, and Stadiums, etc. As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Aurobindo Pharma Foundation has supported Integrated House Hold Latrine (IHHL) scheme in many villages in both states.
Aurobindo Pharma has constructed three Fire Stations in both Telugu states, provided fire tenders, ambulances and even taking care of monthly staff salaries and maintenance expenses. Aurobindo Pharma has installed CCTV cameras and command control rooms in various places.
Towards Green Belt Development & Haritha Haram programmes, Aurobindo Pharma has planted thousands of plants and tree guards in various districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. It has provided funds for promoting sports and games such as Chess, Badminton, Tennis, Power lifting etc., offering training for both men and women.
Rural development is one of Aurobindo Pharma's top priorities. We have laid and widened roads for the benefit of the public and in particular farmers to extend the reach of their products into key areas. Other activities are conducted to help improve animal welfare in rural communities.
Over the years, through our varied and numerous Community Development Programs, more than 60,000 students and 1.2 lakh families have benefited from our projects.
