Mr. Mangalam Ramasubramanian Kumar, a distinguished Science graduate from the University of Madras, held the position of Chairman at LIC of India from March 2019 to March 2023. With a career spanning over three and a half decades, he began his journey with LIC in 1983 as a Direct Recruit Officer, steadily ascending to leadership roles through his unwavering dedication. During his tenure, Mr. Kumar demonstrated exceptional leadership by overseeing three key Zones of LIC of India - Southern, North Central, and Northern - headquartered in Chennai, Kanpur, and Delhi respectively. As an Executive Director, he headed the Personnel Department as well as the Pension and Group Insurance vertical of the Corporation. During his tenure, several initiatives were rolled out for the benefit of the employees. Mr. Kumar's multifaceted experience across various domains of life insurance management, encompassing administrative, marketing, group, and social securities, has provided him with profound insights into industry processes and procedures. His tenure at LIC of India was marked by transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing employee welfare and organizational efficiency, reflecting his commitment to excellence in leadership.
Mr. K. Nityananda Reddy, a seasoned leader in the pharmaceutical industry, serves as the Vice Chairman & Managing Director at Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. He has been an integral part of the company since its inception, leveraging his expertise in manufacturing technology. With a Master’s Degree in Science (Chemistry), he heads the company's overall operations and strategic direction as a dedicated promoter.
Mr. P.V. Ram Prasad Reddy, a Commerce graduate and a promoter of the Company, has been instrumental in the pharmaceutical industry since 1986. Prior to promoting Aurobindo Pharma, he held significant management positions across various pharmaceutical firms. His visionary leadership spearheads the strategic planning initiatives of the Company, driving its growth and innovation agenda.
As the Whole Time Director at Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Mr. M Madan Mohan Reddy brings extensive experience and expertise in organic chemistry. Holding a Master’s Degree in Science (Organic Chemistry), he has held prominent managerial positions in leading pharma companies, contributing significantly to regulatory affairs within the industry. His tenure as Managing Director at M/s. Srichakra Remedies Limited further enriches his leadership at Aurobindo Pharma.
A graduate in Business Administration, Mr. P. Sarath Chandra Reddy is a second-generation entrepreneur and a key member of the promoter group. With a wealth of experience in general management, he specializes in executing projects with precision and efficacy, contributing significantly to the Company's operational excellence and expansion strategies.
Mrs. Savita Mahajan served as the former Deputy Dean of the Indian School of Business, playing a crucial role in its growth over 14 years since its inception in 2001. Her tenure included overseeing the establishment of its second campus in Mohali, Punjab, as its CEO. She holds a degree in Economics from Delhi University and earned her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, in 1981. Her professional journey encompasses diverse roles in esteemed organizations such as Maruti Udyog Limited, Bharat Technologies, Karvy Consultants, and Intergraph India, spanning industries like automobiles, engineering, financial services, and software. Her expertise lies in Strategic Management, Institutional Values, Leadership, and Organizational Change.
Mr. Girish Paman Vanvari is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with over 27 years of consulting experience. He is the Founder of Transaction Square, a Tax, Regulatory, and Business Advisory Firm. Prior to founding his firm, he spent 13 years at KPMG, where he served as the National Leader for Tax at KPMG India. Throughout his career, he has advised numerous large multinationals and Indian promoter companies on various tax and regulatory matters. His expertise extends to M&A deals and restructuring transactions, having played a significant role in some of the industry's major deals. Before KPMG, he worked at Arthur Andersen for over a decade. Mr. Girish is also a frequent host, presenter, and moderator at various tax conferences and seminars, and he has been featured in numerous international and Indian media outlets, newspapers, and business magazines.
Mr. Santanu Mukherjee holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from Presidency College under Kolkata University and CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Bankers. With nearly four decades of experience in banking, finance, risk management, and related fields, he has held various significant roles. He served as the former Managing Director of State Bank of Hyderabad and acted as the Chief General Manager of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur from 2013 to mid-2014. Additionally, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of State Bank of India, Paris, from 2004 to 2008. Beginning his career as a probationary officer, he undertook crucial domestic and overseas assignments within the SBI Group, holding senior positions in commercial credit, international business, risk management, and treasury operations. He also serves as an independent Director in several listed entities.
Dr. Satakarni Makkapati serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Biologics, Vaccines, and Peptides businesses at Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. With a distinguished academic background including an MBA from IMD Business School, Switzerland, a PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Makkapati has been instrumental in building Aurobindo's Biologics Division from its inception. His strategic vision and leadership have propelled the company's biologics portfolio forward.
Dr. Deepali Pant Joshi, aged 65, holds a doctorate and a Master’s Degree in Arts from the University of Allahabad, along with a law degree from the University of Lucknow. She also completed post-doctoral work in Finance and Economics at the Harvard University Harvard Asia Centre (while on secondment from the RBI). With over four decades of experience, Dr. Joshi is a seasoned expert in formulating macroeconomic policies. She began her career as a Direct Recruit Grade B officer in 1981 and retired as an Executive Director after a distinguished tenure. During her time at the RBI, she led various departments, including the Department of Rural Planning and Credit, Financial Inclusion, and Customer Service & Financial Education.
