BRAZILIAN
GMP CERTIFICATION RECEIVED FOR THE FORMULATIONS UNIT |

Aurobindo
Pharma Ltd. has received the GMP certification from the Brazilian Regulatory Authority,
ANVISA, for its pharmaceutical formulations unit (Unit 3) located in Hyderabad. This
certification will give a major boost to Aurobindo Pharma's efforts to penetrate into Brazil,
which is a huge market for pharmaceutical formulations.
As a part of its growth strategy & to move up the value chain, Aurobindo Pharma intends to
enter newer, semi-regulated and regulated markets worldwide after getting approvals from the
respective regulatory authorities. The Company's two formulation plants (viz. Unit 3 and Unit
6) have already received regulatory approvals from MCC, South Africa. The formulations
manufacturing plant at Unit 3 also expects MCA, UK approval shortly.
In addition, Aurobindo Pharma is working towards obtaining USFDA approvals, for two of its
Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients plants (Unit 1 and Unit 6). |
